Building Clean, Safe, and Dignified Environments for Every Child
At Children’s Development Educational Changing Trust (CDECT), sanitation and hygiene are at the heart of our mission to create healthier, safer learning spaces. We bring deep expertise in designing, implementing, and sustaining WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) programs across government schools and hostels, especially in underserved communities.
🚻 What We Do
Toilet Construction & Renovation: Construction of gender-segregated, accessible toilet blocks based on school-specific needs and CSR funding models.
Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM): Distribution of hygiene kits, awareness sessions led by female trainers, and installation of disposal/incinerator units for girl students.
Handwashing Infrastructure: Setup of low-cost, group handwashing stations with soap dispensers and water-efficient designs in every school.
Daily & Preventive Cleaning: Deployment of trained sanitation workers to maintain school premises, clean restrooms, and promote hygienic behavior.
Awareness & Training: Hygiene education programs for students, staff, and school communities using visual tools, workshops, and interactive activities.
Implementation aligned with Swachh Vidyalaya and Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0

Girls’ Safety & Self-Defence Programs
Empowering Girls with Confidence, Protection, and Awareness
At Children’s Development Educational Changing Trust (CDECT), we believe that education is incomplete without safety and dignity. Our Girls’ Safety & Self-Defence Program is designed to empower young girls in government schools and hostels with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to protect themselves and build resilience against threats to their personal safety.
👧 Why This Matters
Many girl students, especially from marginalized communities, face risks including harassment, lack of privacy, and unsafe school environments.
Fear of insecurity leads to poor attendance, dropouts, and compromised learning.
Empowering girls through self-defence builds both confidence and community awareness, encouraging respect and equality.
🥋 Key Program Components
Self-Defence Training Workshops: Certified female trainers conduct hands-on training in basic martial arts and reflex actions for girl students (Grades 6–12).
Safety Awareness Sessions: Interactive modules covering personal boundaries, assertiveness, safe touch/unsafe touch, and how to seek help.
Gender Sensitization Programs: Activities involving both boys and girls to foster respectful peer interactions and a culture of equality.
Safe Infrastructure Advocacy: Provision of gender-specific toilets, functional locks, privacy screens, and menstrual hygiene support.
